AT&T rolls out aggressive incentives for new iPhone 18 and Duo lineup

The carrier's latest incentive package centers on a $1,200 discount for customers on its Unlimited Premium 2.0 plan who trade in an iPhone 14 or newer. For those migrating from competitors like T-Mobile or Verizon, AT&T is offering an additional $800 to cover remaining device balances, alongside a $200 discount for orders placed through its digital channels. These savings are distributed as monthly bill credits over a 36-month installment period, requiring customers to maintain their plan to receive the full value.

The hardware lineup introduces Apple’s first foldable, the iPhone Duo, which features a 7.6-inch inner display and the A20 Pro chip. The 18 Pro series focuses on camera hardware, debuting a 48MP main sensor with a physical variable aperture. To mitigate common consumer concerns, AT&T has integrated an automatic credit system via iOS 27 that triggers when a qualifying network outage occurs, removing the need for customers to manually request compensation. Preorders for the 18 Pro and Pro Max commence on September 12, while the iPhone Duo follows on October 16.
