Versant Media reported third-quarter earnings of 34 cents per share, significantly outpacing the 5 cents expected by analysts. Digital platforms, including Fandango, generated $245 million in revenue, a 10% year-over-year increase. The ticketing service recorded its highest revenue levels since the pandemic, providing a necessary offset to the 5.3% decline in advertising revenue, which fell to $373 million due to the absence of last year’s Ryder Cup. Total linear television revenue also faced pressure, dropping 5.8% to $935 million as subscriber counts continue to reflect broader cord-cutting trends.

CEO Mark Lazarus highlighted the company's focus on deepening consumer relationships through new direct-to-consumer products, including the recent launch of MS NOW and plans for a similar CNBC offering next year. Following its separation from Comcast’s NBCUniversal in January, Versant is aggressively diversifying its revenue streams. The company now expects free cash flow to exceed its previous forecast of $1 billion to $1.2 billion and has initiated a $100 million accelerated stock repurchase program.
