The Aura glasses feature dual Sony Micro-OLED displays capable of 1,200p resolution per eye, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,050 nits of peak brightness. Unlike previous tethered models from Xreal that relied on external devices, the Aura includes a dedicated compute puck to manage processing and battery life. Control inputs extend beyond traditional hardware to include voice commands and hand tracking, supported by onboard sensors and cameras.
Built on the Snapdragon Reality Elite Platform, the device integrates Google’s Gemini AI to assist with environmental queries and cross-app tasks. Users can access a library of 150 XR experiences at launch, including interactive content from the NBA and immersive 3D maps. The hardware features electrochromic dimming with five transparency levels and audio tuned by Bose. While the retail price is set at $1,279, Xreal is currently offering a $180 discount for those who preorder through the company's website.
