Lorna Hajdini, a veteran JPMorgan banker, has launched a defamation suit in New York Supreme Court, labeling sexual assault and discrimination claims brought by a former colleague as a malicious extortion plot. The filing marks a sharp escalation in a public dispute that previously ignited across social media.
Hajdini categorically denies the lurid abuse allegations, which she claims were fabricated as part of a broader scheme to extract millions of dollars from both her and the firm. Since the accusations surfaced internally last May, the banker reports that her life has descended into a daily, living nightmare. The legal action details how she and her family have endured persistent harassment, ridicule, and the proliferation of AI-generated content targeting her reputation.Beyond seeking compensation for economic losses, Hajdini is pursuing damages for severe emotional distress and the sustained humiliation caused by the public nature of the original lawsuit. JPMorgan continues to back its employee, asserting that the allegations against both the banker and the firm lack merit. The anonymous accuser, identified as a John Doe in the original filing, has yet to provide a public response to the counter-suit.
