Best Buy’s Black Friday 2026 sale: dates, deals and policies

The 10-day sale spans Thanksgiving week, with Black Friday falling on Nov. 27. Paid My Best Buy Plus and Total members will earn double points on purchases from Nov. 19 through Dec. 6; points can be redeemed for reward certificates. Best Buy says its early batches of deals and doorbusters are intended to give shoppers an earlier chance to find seasonal offers.

The retailer’s FAQ warns that products carrying a “Black Friday Deal” badge are available in limited quantities, with no rainchecks. Best Buy says an item may remain sold out through Black Friday once it runs out. High-demand gifts, including Pokémon cards and gaming consoles—especially special-edition models—could be among the quickest to go, according to the article’s shopping guidance.

Best Buy has not released its Black Friday 2026 opening hours. Last year, stores opened at 6 a.m. local time. Stores will be closed on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26, continuing a policy in place since 2020. A small number of Black Friday offers are usually exclusive to physical stores, according to fine print on Best Buy’s sale page, while most deals will also be available online.

Best Buy generally matches prices at retailers including Amazon, Costco, The Home Depot, Target and Walmart, but holiday restrictions apply. It will not match other retailers’ Black Friday deals or other sale prices from the Thursday before Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday. During that period, it will match its own prices. For eligible purchases made through Dec. 31, Best Buy says it will refund the difference if its price drops later in the season. Exclusions include holiday decorations, some contract-activated devices, non-returnable products such as trading cards and gift cards, e-bikes, and Marketplace Seller items.

Most purchases made through Dec. 31 can be returned or exchanged until Jan. 15, 2027. Plus and Total members have until Jan. 31. Holiday decor and activated devices have shorter return windows of 14 and 15 days, respectively. Best Buy’s Cyber Sunday and Monday Sale Event runs Nov. 29–30, followed by Cyber Week Deals from Dec. 1–6 and a Last-Minute Savings Event from Dec. 18–24.
