The Privacy Display feature, which obscures screen content from side-angle observers, proved popular for its security benefits but suffered from poor visual output at higher settings. According to reports from 9to5Google, the hardware improvements in the next generation of flagship devices will specifically target this trade-off between privacy and screen clarity.
Despite these improvements, the feature will remain exclusive to the higher-tier models. Owners of the base Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus will not have access to the technology, reserving the advanced display hardware for the Pro and Ultra segments. Samsung is expected to officially unveil the new series during its traditional launch window in early 2025, likely falling in January or February.
