Restaurant Brands International reported mixed fiscal third-quarter results, balancing a domestic burger resurgence against broader portfolio headwinds. The company posted adjusted earnings of $1.10 per share, slightly topping the $1.09 consensus estimate, while total revenue reached $2.53 billion, falling just shy of the $2.54 billion anticipated by Wall Street. Net income climbed to $542 million, or $1.54 per share, marking a significant increase from $315 million in the same period last year.
While Burger King’s domestic performance served as a clear bright spot, the company faces mounting pressure to stabilize Popeyes. The fried chicken chain has struggled to retain market share as competitors lure diners away with value-driven promotions. In response, management is pivoting toward improved restaurant operations and a renewed focus on core menu staples. Meanwhile, Tim Hortons maintained modest growth with 1.8% same-store sales gains in Canada, and the company's international segment grew 3.9%, largely bolstered by Burger King’s global footprint.
