Amazon slashes prices on devices ahead of Prime Day

While Amazon’s flagship Prime Day event officially runs from June 23 to 26, the retail giant has already triggered a wave of early discounts. Shoppers can currently find markdowns reaching up to 65% off across a wide range of house-brand hardware, including smart displays, 4K televisions, and security systems.

The early sale strategy prioritizes Amazon’s own ecosystem, with significant price drops on the Echo line and Fire TV hardware. The Amazon Echo Spot, a popular smart alarm clock, is currently available for $44.99, marking a 44% reduction from its standard $79.99 retail price. Meanwhile, those looking to upgrade their home entertainment can secure the Toshiba 43-inch Class C350 LED 4K Smart TV for $139.98, a savings of over $160.

Home security and connectivity gear are also seeing heavy movement. The Blink Outdoor 4 XR 6-Camera System has been discounted by $273, bringing the price down to $146.99. For network reliability, the Amazon Eero Pro 6E Mesh WiFi System is priced at $329.99, down from $449.99. While Amazon’s Kindle e-readers are not currently part of the aggressive early-bird discounts, industry observers anticipate potential price adjustments once the main sale cycle begins later this month.
