Walmart Pre-empts Prime Day With Early Summer Discounts

Amazon Prime Day 2026 is set for June 23 through 26, but Walmart is refusing to wait for the opening bell. The retail giant has scheduled its own anti-Prime Day sale to run from June 22 through June 28, with aggressive early-bird discounts already appearing across its online and physical storefronts.

While the official event kicks off later this month, shoppers can currently find significant markdowns on electronics and home goods. The early listings include the Apple AirPods Max (USB-C) for $429, reflecting a $120 discount, and the Xbox Series X console priced at $573. Television enthusiasts can secure the TCL 55-inch QM7K Mini LED QLED 4K TV for $598, a price reduction of $352 from its standard retail value.

Beyond core entertainment gear, the early sale cycle highlights deep cuts on computing and outdoor equipment. The Alienware 15.3-inch gaming laptop, featuring an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050, is currently listed at $849, while the Lenovo Legion 5a is marked down to $1,299. For outdoor spaces, the Blackstone 36-inch Original Outdoor Griddle is available for $297. These promotions suggest that Walmart intends to capture consumer spending before Amazon’s event dominates the market landscape later in June.
