The growth trajectory has been fueled largely by the success of Communities—interest-based groups that Meta is now graduating from beta. To mark the milestone, the company is introducing a centralized Communities Hub within the app’s main navigation, alongside visual indicators like distinct icons and a progress tracker for emerging topics. These updates aim to transition the platform from a general-purpose feed to a segmented network of active discussions.
Meta is also expanding its algorithmic control tools with a feature called Your Algo. Unlike previous iterations, this function allows users to temporarily fine-tune their feed preferences for one, three, or seven-day intervals. This granular control is currently rolling out in the U.S., Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Additionally, the company is testing the waters for international localization by launching native language tags for Communities in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, signaling a broader push to capture non-English speaking demographics.
