Marty St. George, president of the airline, recently highlighted the facility as a standout performer in their network. This expansion is central to the company’s pivot toward high-end offerings, including the introduction of a domestic first-class cabin. The airline’s current capacity reflects a significant climb from the 24% share it held just one year ago.

While competitors retreated during the traditional Florida offseason, JetBlue increased its capacity by 5% between May and June. This strategic maneuver positions the carrier to absorb the vacuum left by Spirit Airlines, which ceased operations on May 2. By deepening its roots in Broward County, the company aims to stabilize its revenue streams and restore its bottom line through a more robust international and high-yield domestic gateway.
