Meta restores services after widespread Friday outage

Meta spokesperson Andy Stone confirmed the restoration of services via social media after the company's status page recorded significant disruptions across its business and consumer applications. Users reported widespread errors, with DownDetector noting a peak of 10,000 complaints specifically tied to Instagram accessibility issues.

While Meta stated that issues affecting Ads Creation and Editing were resolved by Friday afternoon, some segments of the WhatsApp Business Platform initially lagged behind the recovery. The company has yet to release an official explanation regarding the root cause of the failure. For now, the platforms appear to be fully operational again, ending the intermittent connectivity that prevented staff and users from sending messages or posting content for several hours.
