The headline feature, Siri AI, brings advanced conversational capabilities to the watch, allowing users to hand off complex queries to other Apple devices for more detailed responses. Note that this feature remains unavailable to users within the European Union. Alongside the intelligence upgrades, the interface receives a functional overhaul with a new dynamic app grid. Triggered by the Digital Crown, this view prioritizes five Siri-suggested applications based on current usage patterns, keeping the digital assistant front and center.
Beyond interface tweaks, the update broadens the scope of the Health app to include tracking for perimenopause and menopause. Apple has also consolidated its tracking ecosystem by merging Find Devices, Find Items, and Find People into a single Find My application. Navigational ease is further addressed with a new tap gesture for the Smart Stack, while the Workout Buddy feature now supports Spanish. Developers can access the watchOS 27 beta immediately, with a public release scheduled for July and a full rollout slated for this fall.
