Apple Unveils macOS 27 Golden Gate with Integrated Siri AI

The centerpiece of the Golden Gate update is the rollout of Siri AI, a revamped assistant built into the macOS 27 user experience. Apple has moved away from the previous iteration, allowing users to trigger the assistant directly through Spotlight or via a new context menu. By right-clicking files, users can now prompt the system to analyze, summarize, or proofread documents across native applications like Mail and Messages.

Beyond AI, the update addresses long-standing user feedback regarding the Liquid Glass interface. Apple is implementing a more uniform toolbar across applications to resolve consistency issues that have frustrated power users. Alongside these functional tweaks, the company is rolling out enhanced child and teen safety tools, accessible through a newly launched dedicated hub. These changes form the core of Apple’s broader 2026 strategy, which prioritizes platform stability and advanced machine learning over radical design departures.
