The company reported adjusted earnings of $1.69 per share against an anticipated $1.63, on total revenue of $22.9 billion. This performance exceeded the $22.29 billion forecast by analysts surveyed by LSEG. While net income slipped to $1.16 billion from $1.31 billion in the same period last year, the core business segments showed resilience. Domestic revenue grew by 4.5%, while international operations saw a 7.1% increase. The supply chain solutions unit emerged as a standout, posting an 18.2% revenue gain fueled by growth in logistics and healthcare services.
CEO Carol Tomé attributed the results to an increasingly automated and efficient network. These figures contrast with earlier concerns regarding the company’s domestic volume, particularly as it manages the transition following the reduction of its reliance on Amazon. With the fourth quarter revenue target set at $25.7 billion, the firm is positioning itself to capitalize on seasonal demand from a position of restored growth.
