The Picco marks a departure from Boox’s typical tablet-style hardware, launching as the flagship of the brand’s new Tile collection. Unlike the Palma or Go 6 models, the Picco ditches the Android operating system and Google Play Store access. Users are restricted to the device's native library, though it includes a few productivity extras like a Pomodoro timer and a to-do list manager. File transfers are handled via USB-C or the dedicated Boox Tile app, suggesting a focus on DRM-free content similar to Xteink readers.

Designed for portability, the device is roughly the size of a deck of cards and features MagSafe compatibility for attachment to iPhones. The hardware includes a dual-tone front light with adjustable warmth and brightness, alongside physical page-turn buttons and a dedicated toggle for switching between light and dark modes. While the company's website initially pointed toward an October release, a representative confirmed the shipping window is expected to extend into November.
