Amazon discounts Apple Watch Series 12 ahead of launch

Apple is positioning the Series 12 as its definitive health-tracking tool, centering the device on an upgraded Health Sensing System. This hardware now captures heart rate data every five seconds—a significant increase in frequency—and tracks heart rate variability every five minutes. These metrics feed into a redesigned Health app that integrates Apple Intelligence, a new Longevity tab, and a proprietary Readiness score based on sleep and activity data.

Despite the technical upgrades, some features remain works in progress. While the watch introduces advanced Audio Intelligence tools like Siri Recap and Live Rewind, these capabilities will not be available at launch, arriving instead in an English-language beta later this year. The hardware itself features the new Ceramic Shield 2 and supports rapid charging, providing 12 hours of battery life from a 15-minute charge. Preorders are currently active on Amazon, with the devices slated for delivery on the official launch day.
