The Danish pharmaceutical giant, which has dominated the metabolic health sector for years, is preparing to unveil a comprehensive new business strategy during its Capital Markets Day on September 21. Doustdar characterized the transition as a necessary evolution, acknowledging that the volatility of the past five years forced leadership to fundamentally reconsider how the firm navigates the next decade.
To regain its competitive edge, the company is targeting structural improvements across its entire value chain. Doustdar noted that the work required spans from refining research and development processes to optimizing manufacturing capabilities and sharpening sales and marketing efforts. By streamlining its corporate identity and operations, the firm aims to move beyond recent setbacks and secure its position against a formidable rival in the weight-loss drug arena.
