Michael Paget

Michael Pagetis the lead guitarist for Bullet For My Valentine. Paget is one of the founding members of the band. He has featured on every Bullet For My Valentine release to this day. In addition to playing lead guitar, Paget also performs backing vocals.

Early life

Paget was born on September 12, 1978. At the age of 17, after saving a lot of money from his paper runs, he bought a 3-quarter size classical guitar. Originally, he did not know how to tune it nor play it, as he learnt songs string by string. Fortunately, his cousin stepped in to help. Learning a small amount of chords from a chord booklet that accompanied the guitar, Padge quickly learned Nirvana's 'Polly'.

Soon after, he developed a love of metal and he began to get into bands like Metallica or Iron Maiden. Paget's dream was to perform with ZZ Top. In 1998, Padge founded the band Jeff Killed John with his friends Matt Tuck, Michael "Moose" Thomas and Nick Crandle. However, after Nick Crandle suddenly quit, the band was renamed to Bullet For My Valentine and the band's musical style changed significantly.
