James Lowman
James Lowmanhas served as Chief Executive of the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) since November 2006. Under his leadership, ACS has advanced its political and policy influence, developed a distinctive research program that underpins its advocacy, and introduced an industry-leading assured advice scheme in collaboration with Surrey County Council.
James also established a unique events program to support the convenience sector. He is actively involved in multiple ministerial advisory groups, including the National Retail Crime Steering Group and the Retail Sector Council. Additionally, James holds board positions with Community Alcohol Partnerships, the Proof of Age Standards Scheme, and the London Food Board. He represents the sector as a leader on the High Streets Task Force.
