Marina Hyde

Marina Hydeis an English journalist, columnist and cultural commentator best known for her sharp, satirical writing for The Guardian. She has been a columnist at the newspaper since 2000, covering politics, celebrity culture, sport, media and public life.

Hyde began her journalism career at The Sun, where she worked on the showbiz desk before moving to The Guardian. At the paper, she first became known for writing the Diary column, later developing into one of the publication’s most prominent opinion writers. Her columns often mix political analysis, entertainment-industry observation and dry humour, making her a distinctive voice in British journalism.
