Paul Hollywood

Paul John Hollywoodis an English celebrity chef, baker and television personality. He is best known as a judge on The Great British Bake Off, a role he has held since the show launched in 2010.

Hollywood began working in his father’s bakery as a teenager, where he developed his early baking skills. He later built his career as a professional baker, serving as head baker at several British and international hotels.

After working in Cyprus, Hollywood returned to the UK and started appearing as a guest on British television programmes on BBC and ITV. His expertise in baking helped him become a familiar figure in food broadcasting.

His major breakthrough came with The Great British Bake Off, where he became known for his technical knowledge, strict judging style and signature “Hollywood handshake.” Over time, he expanded his television work beyond baking, including projects linked to travel and motoring.
