Apple Raises Prices Across Mac and iPad Lines

A sharp rise in memory component costs has forced Apple to hike prices across its hardware portfolio, impacting nearly every device from the entry-level iPad to the high-end M3 Ultra Mac Studio. While iPhones and AirPods remain unaffected for now, consumers face increases reaching as high as $1,300.

The company’s decision follows a tightening supply chain driven by the aggressive expansion of AI data centers, which has created a massive premium on essential memory components. This market pressure has made manufacturing significantly more expensive, pushing costs directly onto the consumer. The MacBook Neo, recently marketed as a rare affordable entry point for Apple laptops, has seen its price climb to $699, a $100 increase.

Professional-grade equipment faces the steepest adjustments. The M3 Ultra Mac Studio now commands a $5,299 price tag, marking a $1,300 jump, while the M5 Max MacBook Pro has risen by $500 to reach $4,099. Even peripheral devices have not been spared; the Apple TV 4K is up by $70 to $199, and the HomePod has increased by $50 to $349. The Vision Pro headset also saw a price adjustment, rising $200 to a new total of $3,699.
