The Stockwell III arrives on August 4 via Marshall’s website and Costco, bringing substantial hardware upgrades despite the static pricing. The most prominent improvement is battery endurance, which has doubled to 40 hours of playback. Durability also sees a shift, moving from an IPX4 rating to an IP55 classification, offering better protection against dust and water ingress. The unit features a three-inch woofer and two 1.75-inch wide-band drivers, utilizing the brand's signature True Stereophonic technology to project 360-degree sound.
Design choices retain the classic aesthetic, including a brass control panel and a PU leather strap. However, Marshall has introduced a modular approach to hardware longevity. Users can now replace the battery, silicone sleeve, carrying case, and both front and back grilles, a strategy the company recently implemented with its Milton headphones. The control interface adds a dedicated M-button for preset management, while retaining the physical bass and treble knobs that define the brand's visual identity.
