During the recent keynote, Apple demonstrated the feature by tracking camp registration, yet its most significant impact lies in e-commerce. Unlike specialized price trackers such as Camelcamelcamel, which remain tethered to specific platforms like Amazon, Notify Me operates across any site. Users define what they are looking for, and Safari triggers a push notification the moment the page content changes.
This functionality extends beyond simple price monitoring. Because the tool tracks general page changes, it provides a versatile solution for users to manage inventory alerts or site updates without relying on disparate browser extensions. Apple plans to roll out Notify Me alongside other Apple Intelligence features for Safari in the fall of 2026. At that point, the browser will shift from a passive information viewer to an active agent in the user's shopping experience.
