Boeing Targets July 6 Launch for New 737 Max Assembly Line

The Everett facility serves as the cornerstone for the company’s plan to boost production to 52 jets per month by next year, up from the current 47-unit output. Boeing leadership envisions an eventual climb to 63 planes monthly, provided the supply chain stabilizes enough to support such volume. The new line will prioritize the 737 Max 10, a stretched variant currently awaiting FAA certification, which is anticipated by the end of the year.

Boeing remains under strict manufacturing caps enforced by the Federal Aviation Administration after a door plug blowout on an Alaska Airlines flight in January 2024. That incident triggered intensive federal scrutiny of the company’s quality control and assembly protocols. While the Everett expansion marks a significant push toward recovery, the company's ability to reach these production targets remains tied to clearing ongoing safety reviews and ensuring the supply chain can keep pace with the aggressive schedule.
