Xreal Aura Smartglasses Launch at $1,279

Priced at $1,279, the new Xreal Aura smartglasses are finally moving from concept to consumer reality. Xreal Aura Smartglasses Launch at $1,279

Weighing just 95 grams, the Aura achieves its slim profile by offloading processing to a dedicated external unit. This pocket-sized device, which houses a Snapdragon Reality Elite chip, doubles as a trackpad and biometric security scanner. The glasses themselves feature transparent displays boasting a 70-degree field of view, complemented by integrated Bose audio technology.

Xreal positions the Aura as a versatile spatial computing tool rather than a traditional headset. Users can navigate virtual workspaces, attend meetings, or consume media while maintaining awareness of their physical environment. The base model includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while a premium 16GB/512GB version is available for $1,499. Prospective buyers must place a $199 priority deposit before pre-orders formally commence later this month. The hardware is scheduled to ship before the holiday season in the United States, Canada, Japan, and South Korea, with additional international availability planned for next year.
