The collection debuted at Gamescom in August, featuring items that vary significantly in how overtly they reference gaming culture. A standout piece is the YXSTABY Gaming D-pad controller platter, a stainless steel tray designed for peripherals that remains neutral enough to function as standard home decor. Despite its aesthetic appeal, the reflective surface is prone to fingerprints, making it better suited for static display than constant handling.
Other items lean further into the partnership's branding. The X-shaped green Gaming D-pad cushion offers surprising ergonomic utility, providing support for arms or comfort during long sessions. Meanwhile, the YXSTABY Gaming lounge chair updates the classic IKEA POÄNG silhouette with galvanized steel rods, Xbox-green stitching, and a mesh storage pocket. While testers noted that stored controllers can be felt through the polyester seat padding, the experience remains functional for daily use. Some items, such as the thumb-stick-shaped stool, will only be available for one year. The collection is currently hitting store shelves, with U.S. online availability scheduled for November 30.
