The update brings Dual Capture to Group FaceTime calls, allowing users to leverage both front and rear cameras simultaneously during multi-person sessions. Apple is also deploying a redesigned Health app, which organizes user data into three distinct tabs: Insights for current vitals, Longevity for historical tracking, and Browse for general navigation.
For users with devices supporting Apple Intelligence, the Messages app will now offer context-aware suggestions. This tool detects event dates or requested information in text threads, providing quick shortcuts to calendar entries or contact sharing. While this functionality was pulled from the original iOS 27 beta, it now arrives to compete with similar AI features like Magic Cue on Pixel and Now Nudge on Galaxy devices.
Interface updates extend to Apple Podcasts, which divides the "Up Next" queue into "New Episodes" and "Continue Playing" sections for better organization. The update also introduces Call Context, a niche feature that displays anniversary reminders during incoming calls, and finally brings user profiles to the Apple TV app on iOS, mirroring the functionality already present on tvOS.
