The increase extends to the Apple One Individual bundle, which now costs $21.95 per month, up from $19.95. This package, which combines Apple Music, Apple Arcade, and 50GB of iCloud storage alongside the streaming service, reflects the company's broader strategy to extract more revenue from its ecosystem. Since its 2019 debut at $4.99, the streaming platform has seen its price triple, a shift Apple justifies by highlighting its library of original programming, including titles like Ted Lasso and Severance, as well as exclusive access to Major League Soccer matches.
This move follows a pattern of hikes that hit Apple Music last month and saw MacBook and iPad prices climb by as much as $500 in June. With the iPhone now standing as the last major product line yet to see a price adjustment this year, industry analysts anticipate further increases during the company's upcoming September event. While the cost of digital services and hardware continues to trend upward, the company has offered little relief to consumers, save for a rare price reduction on its $9 polishing cloth.
