The M6 Mac mini introduces Apple’s first 2-nanometer processor, a technological jump that provides 12 CPU and GPU cores alongside a dual 16-core Neural Engine. According to the company, this architecture delivers four times faster AI performance than the previous M4 model. The entry-level unit starts at $899, marking a $300 increase over its predecessor. For professional users, the device is also configurable with the M5 Pro chip, supporting up to 64GB of RAM.
At the high end, the new Mac Studio utilizes the M5 Ultra, a quad-die design that fuses two M5 Max chips. This configuration supports up to 512GB of unified memory and offers a 40 percent increase in graphics speed compared to the M3 Ultra model. Prices for the Mac Studio begin at $5,499, though fully customized builds can reach $18,299. Both desktop lines now feature WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6 connectivity. Preorders are currently active, with shipping scheduled to commence on September 22.
