Google Enters Bluetooth Tracker Market With Pixel Tag

The Pixel Tag measures two inches in length and carries an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. It launches in a single "Fog" colorway, designed to coordinate with the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel Watch 5. Beyond its visual design, the device features a built-in speaker for location pings and a physical button that triggers a ring on paired Android phones.

Functionality extends to precision finding, which provides users with directional pointers and distance indicators. The device also includes "Left Behind" alerts to help prevent lost items, alongside security measures that notify users if an unknown tag is detected moving with them. Compatibility is broad, supporting smartphones running Android 9 or newer. Users can share a single tracker with up to 10 different people and manage pings across the broader Google ecosystem, including Pixel Watches and Pixel Buds.
