Ann-Marie Campbell, senior executive vice president of U.S. stores and operations, will manage day-to-day business, while finance chief Richard McPhail takes charge of financial management and the company's Pro division. Greg Brenneman, the lead independent director, will assume the role of board chair during the interim period. These appointments were made by the board but remain in alignment with Decker's own recommendations.

Campbell, 61, brings nearly four decades of experience to the role, having started as a cashier in 1985 before ascending to her current executive position. McPhail, 56, joined the firm in 2005 and has served as chief financial officer since 2019. According to a recent securities filing, neither executive will receive additional compensation for assuming these increased responsibilities. The company has declined to provide specific details regarding the nature of Decker’s medical condition.
