Her track record includes a four-year stint managing the U.S. West Zone, where she reportedly boosted average unit cash flow by $100,000 and drove same-store sales growth exceeding 30%. CEO Chris Kempczinski described her as a "proven change agent" capable of mobilizing the organization during a period of transition.
She succeeds Joe Erlinger, who led the U.S. division for over six years and will remain with the company as an advisor until early 2027. While McDonald’s second-quarter earnings surpassed Wall Street estimates, overall revenue missed expectations as traffic to domestic locations declined. The company is currently banking on a new growth strategy—focused on menu innovation and refreshed restaurant designs—to regain momentum against cost-conscious diners.
