RingConn Gen 3 Adds Vibration Alerts to Subscription-Free Smart Ring

A tiny vibration motor inside the new RingConn Gen 3 smart ring now delivers health alerts and sedentary reminders directly to the wearer's finger. By integrating this hardware, the device aims to bridge the gap between passive biometric tracking and active user notification without the need for a screen.

RingConn Gen 3 Adds Vibration Alerts to Subscription-Free Smart Ring

The Gen 3 arrives as a direct competitor to industry incumbents like Oura, maintaining a subscription-free model that eliminates recurring costs after the initial purchase. Available in sizes 6 through 16, the device comes in five finishes, ranging from standard silver and gold to brushed rose gold. Despite its compact 2.3mm thickness, the ring packs enough power to claim up to 14 days of battery life, though frequent use of the new vibration feature will shorten that duration.

Beyond basic fitness metrics, the device introduces detection for blood pressure and sleep apnea, though the company notes these features currently lack FDA clearance. The hardware is designed for durability, featuring water resistance up to 100 meters. Each unit ships with a travel charging case capable of providing up to 150 days of supplemental power. The RingConn Gen 3 is available now, starting at $349, with brushed finish options priced at $369.
