T-Mobile Offers Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 for Free via Trade-In

With a retail price of $1,899.99, Samsung’s newly unveiled Galaxy Z Fold 8 carries a premium cost that few want to pay upfront. T-Mobile is now countering that barrier by launching a promotion that covers the full device cost through bill credits, provided customers meet specific trade-in and plan requirements.

The carrier’s offer provides up to $1,900 in bill credits spread across 24 months, effectively canceling out the sticker price for those who trade in an eligible high-end device. To qualify for the maximum credit, users must provide a flagship model in good condition, such as a Galaxy Z Fold 6 or 7, an S25 Ultra, or a recent iPhone Pro Max. Participants are also required to subscribe to or switch to T-Mobile’s Experience Beyond plan, or equivalent Go5G Plus or Next tiers.

While the hardware cost is offset by these credits, customers should anticipate some initial out-of-pocket expenses. T-Mobile requires payment of local state sales tax on the full $1,899.99 retail price at checkout, alongside a $35 connection charge. Because the deal relies on a 24-month service commitment, cancelling the line early triggers a requirement to pay the remaining balance of the device immediately. For existing users already committed to top-tier unlimited plans, this promotion serves as a direct path to upgrading to the latest foldable hardware without the standard retail investment.
