YouTube rolls out show features for creator playlists

To qualify for this new format, YouTube suggests that shows maintain a consistent theme, host, and visual aesthetic. While the platform automatically organizes episodes by publication date, creators retain full control within YouTube Studio to reorder content, assign season numbers, and upload custom poster art. This tool is designed to support both serial narratives and thematic collections, provided they offer a cohesive viewing experience.

Beyond organization, the shift offers practical benefits for channel growth. YouTube indicated that content designated as a show may gain improved visibility in search results and appear in dedicated "Recommended shows" or "Continue watching" sections. Creators can initiate the process by navigating to the Content tab in YouTube Studio, selecting a playlist, and choosing the "Add show features" option to begin structuring their library.
