Live Studio integrates into the site’s existing Creator Studio, providing a unified dashboard for users with a $3-per-month Premium subscription. The interface allows creators to schedule broadcasts, manage audience data, and utilize external hardware through Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP). Beyond basic streaming, the software offers granular control over viewer interaction, such as the ability to restrict chat to subscribers during a live session.

To drive adoption, the company has pledged a $1 million incentive fund for active streamers, though specific distribution criteria remain undisclosed. The rollout is currently limited to specific regions, including California, Oregon, and Virginia in the U.S., alongside major international hubs such as Tokyo, Paris, Seoul, and São Paulo. X has published a dedicated guide to assist creators in navigating the transition from older management tools.
